The Four Wheel Drive Club of Southern Africa

On a monthly basis, the Four Wheel Drive Club of Southern Africa has an Open Day at its property at Base 4. Each Open Day has a programme of events of interest to members, and these are also great opportunities for non-members to come along and see what the club is all about.

A wide range of topics is presented by specialists in their field, and every one relates to the 4x4 or outdoor experience.

Please feel free to invite friends or prospective members to Base 4. Remember the new membership incentive - use the open day to get them to join up!

Open Day - Sun 07 February, 2010 - Special Guest - Rita Groenewald from the De Wildt Cheetah Centre

There will be a small entrance fee of R50 per adult. Children are free. Please support this worthy cause and pay at the door.

Thank you to all who have so generously contributed to our donation drive for the 'Friends of Hwange Trust' in 2009. As part of this ongoing truly worthy project we start the year with two exciting competition options to raise funds. Win a trip to Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe by purchasing a raffle ticket in support of the Friends for Hwange Trust. Option 1. Purchase a ticket for R100.00 Option 2. Open Day Programme
10h30 – 11h00	Meet and greet in the clubhouse at Base 4.
11h00 - 12h00	Guest speakers from the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre.
12h00 - 12h15	Welcome to new club members from the chairman.
13h15 onwards	We will have the braais going so bring your meat and food goodies camp chairs and grids. It is recommended you bring a bag of charcoal, in case you need it.
14h00 onwards	If you need some additional adrenalin rush a drive around the FWDCSA obstacles (all marked) can be done. Be on the lookout for the yellow pointers to help you (help will be on hand for newcomers). Please check out the course before you start and avoid any unnecessary damage to your vehicle. Otherwise just relax in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of the Gauteng branch of the Four Wheel Drive Club of Southern Africa.
